About
Charles is a Creative Director, using the power of smart design to create experiences that are useful, seamless, and delightful. At it’s best, smart design appears inevitable, and even invisible. Charles’ long history with digital design encompasses every touchpoint – from digital kiosks, entertainment interfaces and websites of every size and purpose, to complex software design, native mobile apps and medical device UI.
At Continuum, Charles was a Senior Envisioner, where he provided strategy and design solutions for clients such as Wells Fargo, Quanterix, and AmerisourceBergen. Prior to Continuum, Charles was the Creative Director at BLITZ, where he conceptualized and led digital experience design efforts for clients ranging from CPG to Gaming. Before that, Charles was Creative Directing at HUGE Inc. and Art Directing at R/GA, where his primary focus was on design and development of the Nike+ ecosystem of products and services. In addition to helping us achieve our fitness goals with his work with Nike, Charles’ design work has also helped us connect with a community of experts through the National Geographic “Your Shot” experience, helped us stay current through his work with The New York Times, and helped us plan for the future through his work with financial service companies like Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley Smith Barney.
Other clients in Charles’ award-winning portfolio include DirecTV, Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts, Columbia Sportswear, Microsoft, The Ad Council and HBO.
Charles’ background is in Studio Art and Interaction Design. He studied at University of California at Irvine.
